You are invited to the kick-off party to a weekend of tiny house events at Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton, MA! Five of the women of the tiny house movement will be speaking about their experiences in designing, building, and advocating for tiny houses, including B&B’s own Katie Jackson.
In addition to working at B&B, Katie is the owner of Katie Jackson Woodworks, author of the internationally released book “Hand-Built Outdoor Furniture: 20 Step-By-Step Projects Anyone Can Build” (available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon, and everywhere books are sold), and the Northeast Regional Director of the American Tiny House Association. She will be speaking about how tiny house living is quickly being legalized across the country, her own efforts with tiny house advocacy and community building, and her experience empowering women and girls with woodworking skills.
The party and subsequent hands-on tiny house building workshop is hosted by the Diedricksen Brothers, Hosts of HGTV‘s “Tiny House Builders”. Craft & Sprout will be offering a tour of their tiny house, there will be a shou-sugi ban woodburning demonstration, and hands-on art activities.
The party is a fundraiser for the museum. Tickets are $25 for members, $30 for non-members. After Friday night’s party, there will be a hands-on tiny house building workshop on Saturday– sign up for that at relaxshacks.com.
